You are on a holiday on one of the most beautiful islands of Cyclades, Sifnos. Known for its gastronomic richness - let's not forget that Tselementes was from Sifnos - Sifnos always has something new and interesting to show off.

Traditionally in the Mediterranean, wine is directly related to food. When amazing Greek wines meet a talented Greek-Italian and an Egyptian chef, on one of the most beautiful Aegean islands, the result is unique.

We present you the new great collaboration of botilia.gr with Cànova! Angelos Damoulianos, founder of botilia.gr and the famous sommelier Alexandros Triantafyllou, collaborate with Cànova on a modern wine-gastronomic project that will be discussed.

What Cánova means? In ancient Rome there were wine shops on the road where travelers stopped for a quick snack with wine during their journey. The Italian origin of the owner Andrea Miano is more than obvious.


In our own Cànova, in one of the most beautiful and sheltered balconies of the island in Apolonia, Ziyad Saleh and Nikolas Zacharopoulos create new Mediterranean cuisine that is selectively combined with a uniquely sophisticated wine list and exquisitely subtle pairings that rock the experience.

Choose between shrimp tartar marinated with homemade forest fruit vinegar, potato mousse and celery on tapioca crackers or beef tartar with enoki mushroom pickle, Tonka bean, cabbage, carrot and wasabi.
Continue with seafood carbonara with fish roe and smoked chicory, handmade rooster ravioli in its own consome, smoked corn and cashews or black olive gnocchi, aglio, olio e peperoncino with tomatoes and capers.

Passing in the main courses, the choice between the sea bream in sweet potato and saffron Vichyssoise with raw celeriac salad the lamb leg fillet, with aubergine puree and sun-dried tomato ketchup will be extremely hard.

As for the wines? Beyond the rich list of wines with rare choices from all over Greece, we suggest you try the pairing menus where the signature dishes are combined with specific wines by the glass, allowing you to enjoy them in the ideal way.
