Autumn is here. At the opposite of the sadness that causes the end of the summer there are little things we can enjoy at this time of the season that are able to soothe our pain. You are wondering if the seasonal vegetables that make unique stews and casseroles are able to make up for the dives in the sea, the sunset on the island and the carefree holidays. The answer is probably not. However, combining fresh green beans, stuffed tomatoes, okra, leeks, leeks and aubergines with a refreshing rosé wine, you can keep for a little while longer the summer feeling. We therefore suggest:
Stuffed tomatoes with Rose - Domaine Kamara. The distinctive aromas of tomato that characterize xinomavro, make this wine a perfect partner for this dish. Also the roasted, caramelized tomato needs the moderate but refreshing acidity of Domaine Kamara Rosé to balance.
Imam Baildi with Rosa - Kechri Estate. A delicious but heavy dish as it needs something as much as possible beside it. The sharp acidity of this rosé is able to cut through the oily texture of the dish while the fact that the wine has been aged in barrel provides a richer body and makes it able to stand beside this intense dish.
Leeks and cuttlefish stew with Fine Rose - Anatolikos Vineyards. Still an ideal combination, since the oily mouthfeel of the wine blends with the buttery texture of the cuttlefish, while its accented acidity balances nicely with the lemony character of the dish. The herbaceousness of Fine Rose finally balances nicely with the leeks and herbs.
Okras or green beans with tomato sauce with Angel's Heart Rose - Tatsis Winery. Rich body, structure and intense aromatic character. Perfect combination with green beans and okras.
