#GIVINGTUESDAY2023 ON THIS DAY WE CELEBRATE GENEROSITY!

Giving Tuesday was an idea that started in 2012 in the USA, to encourage and motivate people to do something good! Its inspirer was Henry Timms who thought of harnessing the power of social media and technology to promote charitable giving. This first simple idea then took on bigger dimensions and ended up in a unique collaboration with the United Nations Foundation. The result was that the world's response became massive and eventually a global movement was created, which enables people to help through charitable institutions, their fellow human beings and celebrate the joy of giving! To put it into perspective, in the United States of America, 2022 revenue broke the record, with $3.1 billion ultimately going to communities and then to people, greatly improving the quality of their daily lives!

The non-profit association DESMOS is the Greek association "bridge" that will connect those who want to participate in this great celebration of generosity. It has more than 800 public benefit organizations in its power, with which it cooperates and offers help together, improving the standard of living of every vulnerable group that needs support, in the field of health, education, and rehabilitation, not only on the collective, but also on the individual level, helping individuals and families.

This year, for the first time, Botilia.gr is actually supporting this great project and will allocate 5% of the purchases that you will make on Tuesday, November 28, to DESMOS. Through a domino of love, we will transform your, our and their offer, into a powerful force of collective will and contribution, to all the groups that need it, everywhere in Greece.
